(New) Human Resources Administrator

We’re searching for a Human Resources (HR) Administrator to provide a consistently high standard of administrative and project support to the human resources team as well as be one of the focal points of interaction with Colonnade Group employees, management and the public.

So that you know what to expect on any given day, you’ll be doing one or all of these things:

Administrative Support

  • Create and maintain all personnel records: employee files, employee contracts, payroll records, benefit enrollment documents, performance reviews, training certificates, etc. both in electronic and hard copy formats
  • Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) data entry
  • Prepare ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required
  • Draft, edit and proofread HR correspondence
  • Update and maintain HR policies
  • Administer/monitor (web based/video) compliance training

Recruitment Support

  • Administer recruiting and selection relates activities:
    • Job profile generation
    • Posting jobs
    • Applicant tracking
    • Screening resumes
    • Scheduling interviews
    • Preparing interview packages
    • Manage communication with candidates

Payroll and Benefits Support

  • Payroll data entry
  • Administer benefit related activities:
    • Process enrollments, changes and terminations
    • Maintain accurate and complete employee benefit databases, including files and records, and update as necessary
    • Process and reconcile monthly insurer billings
    • Assist with health and wellness program opportunities

Onboarding and Communication Support

  • Coordinate onboarding/offboarding activities:
    • Generate and maintain content on HR Intranet
    • Issue regular HR commuinques or updates
    • Greetings/announcement
    • New hire documentation
    • New hire orientation
    • Lunch for first day, if applicable
    • Equipment and workstation set up
    • Compliance training
    • Process evaluation
    • Departure announcement
    • Issue ROE
    • Company asset retrieval

The qualifications we would like you to bring to the position include:

  • Post-secondary education with a concentration in Human Resources or related discipline
  • Actively pursuing CHRP or related designation
  • Previous experience in an administrative role preferred
  • Familiarity with Human Resources practices and principles, and knowledge of applicable labour, pay, and benefits laws and regulations
  • Ability to handle the highest level of confidentiality with discretion
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal relations skills
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Functional knowledge of social networking
  • Working knowledge of HR related systems
  • Ownership and personal pride to produce flawless results
